Who They Are
The partner is a dentist specializing in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. They are a single-location operation staffed with board-certified orthodontists whose main focus is patient health and comfort.
What They Do
The partner caters primarily to young children and teenagers, offering pediatric dental solutions, including Invisalign and traditional braces. They are kid-friendly, and they use state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
The Problem
The partner wanted to bolster their local search presence, for their exact physical location, as well as some surrounding cities. When they first joined Searchbloom, their Google Business Profile was not fully optimized, and their local search presence was not especially strong.
The Solution
To improve the partner’s presence in local search results, we determined to write and create pages on their website dedicated to the specific cities they wanted to target. We also decided to optimize their Google Business Profile, including adding products to it and writing GBP posts.
- Acquired new backlinks with strategic anchor text including local modifiers
- Identified and developed internal links to target landing pages
- Built out local citations on relevant and effective business directories
- Determined the cities/service areas that were important and practical to target
- Wrote location-based content in a “[service] in [city]” format
- Focused on the partner’s most important services of pediatric dentistry, Invisalign, and braces
- Added “services” to the partner’s Google Business Profile, highlighting top services offered with accompanying descriptions, images, and links
- Promoted content in the GBP knowledge panel through use of the “posts” feature
- Added top services to the navigation menu (they were previously not navigable from the menu itself)
- Improved site speed score from a “B” grade in GT Metrix to an “A” grade
- Resolved numerous instances of unminified JavaScript and CSS
- Resolved several instances of orphaned pages in sitemaps
The Results
Between June of 2022 and June of 2023 the partner saw impressive growth and performance in local metrics; most notably with views and engagement with their Google Business Profile and their appearance in Google Maps. In a 12-month window we saw the following improvements:
